Quick word of warning I was chatting to our main customer today who has a small fleet of 8 Peugeot 308 estates. 4 have now had major problems with the gear box. Its well established the 307 was a dog when it came to reliability, it seems the 308 gear box may be letting the mid Peugeot hatch down again. Seems the new 308 getting bad reviews, check out "honest john'

!!Shut the front door!!

Don't think mine is one of them.

Mine's a Petrol 1.2 Puretech 130 with the new EAT6 6 speed auto box.

I did read that the older ones were troublesome though.

It's because of the DPF troubles on short journeys, and the EGC faults some members are reporting, that I'm changing anyway.

Honest John gives it 4 out of 5 and rates it quite well:

Quiet and refined. Big improvement in quality over previous 308. Impressive 1.2 Puretech petrol engines. Five star Euro NCAP rating. European car of the year 2014.

Now stop giving me heart palpitations!!

PS: I don't see my 308 getting the hammering your customers fleet of 8 has been getting...

Just read this because I am looking at the 308 and noticed the Honest John post was dated April 2012. It's the old model!!

My new 308 is just brilliant.
Had a minor incident with the sat-nav, but I think that may have been my fault.

It's just a lovely car that's a delight to drive and ride in.
