Hello,

Was adding washer fluid the other day and noticed something strange about the fitment of air filter cover. You can see filter inside it, and seems to be improperly fitted ( engine 1.6 BlueHDI). Can anyone with the same engine have a quick look and see if it's the same ? Is it normal ?

Cheers

Thanks for the answer Tonvel !It's a pretty weird design TBH, i have never seen it on any other car / Peugeot engine. Can't help wonder if this isn't a design flaw.Edited by: alex2jz

For your peace of mind, can add on plastic margin (the lower one) a line of transparent silicone...Leave is a little (15-20 min) to form a pellicle non-adherent...on the top margin put some water to prevent the silicone to glue...then get them together...will make a very nice and good shield against dust and sand particles...I use transparent silicone for glass in bathrooms. If you put too much and will remain on lateral, just cut it with a cutter when is hardened. If you press it too soon, and glues, just use a thin cutter and work on lower side (is easier).
Good luck.
