A number of manufacturers are saying after-market support will be available around buy the end of the year.

Do you think Peugeot will upgrade/support the 2008 with Apple's Carplay feature? The 2008's touchscreen probably has the capabilities to do so.

If you don't know what Carplay is take a look here:

There's a feature in the latest 'Car' magazine.

Apple vs Android.

Peugeot Citroen is listed under Apple Carplay.

On Apple's website Peugeot Citroen is a committed partner for future car models. I'm wondering if Peugeot will update firmware in the 2008 in the months to come to support Carplay.

Not a chance.

New car models will probably support it, but I would be extremely surprised if they update the software on existing touch screens to be compatible.

Happy to be proven wrong though!

The thing is it wouldn't overhaul the current software on the touchscreen but more so becomes integrated or an option to use.

I've seen the Volvo and Mercedes demonstrations and within Carplay there is an option to go back to the manufacturers software.
