I had repeated problems with the DPF in my wife's 807 after it hit about 50000 miles. After Robins and Day couldn't fix it after several attempts I tried the Forte DPF cleaner. I'm not entirely convinced it did anything that a decent run up the motorway wouldn't do.

In the end I gave up trying to fix it with snake oil and had the DPF removed and the car remapped which has had the benefit of improved performance. Of course now I have the potential problem of the MoT but fingers are crossed on that one.

If I had the time again I probably would just remove and clean or replace the DPF. It wouldn't be cheap but the remapping wasn't either.

Hi burty, presumably this is a petrol additive similar to Red-X in petrol cars.

If you had used it long before that mileage do you think it would have been beneficial?

How much do you need to add per fill-up?

Al.

PS: Our 2008's have a 'bag' containing a special fluid additive so will that be the same thing?

PPS:....see here:
