NOT a plea for help but couldn't find any post related to the type and size of battery needed for my 16 plate EAT6 with stop/start using the search function :( I don't need done as regularly recharge mne using a CTEK MXS 5.0. So thought I'd post the info I found out if anyone needs it in the future

Called my dealer .Their price is £240 inc VAT and £20+ VAT for fitting so £264 inc

Spec of battery is:

Type 096 AGM
CCA 760 amp
Ah 70

Checked on carpartsforless and an agm battery of that spec is below:

With their current discount code (there is always one available) it works out at £136.43

Also checked with my local mobile mechanic and he'd charge me £10 cash to fit, so that works out at £146.43.
So anyone that's got the money to spare can pay £117 more to their main dealer.

Just sharing the joys of budget motoring! :D

I tend to use 2 places for batteries, Battery megastore (online, next day delivery etc) and Halfords (I've got a trade card so get a fair bit of discount)

Thanks Niteram, I've used battery megastore myself before and they are great.

heir cheapest AGM battery is 131.50, so will save circa £5 on my price

Halfords supply Tand fit 184, supply only £159, so with your discount probs worthwhile.

Price comparison wasn't the reason I posted, mainly to state the battery specs more than the money that could be saved :)
