In order to keep you informed about festivals in Romania, will try to post every event/offer that can be interesting for UK members.Remember that Romania is UE country, not needed the passport.
Also most places have POS so you can pay using your card.
The Romanian coin is LEI or RON, the parity for Euro is 1 Euro = 4,4 LEI. Also for GBP, parity is 1GBP =
For the ones that want to travel by own car (not advised because you must enter in Bulgaria, lot of bad roads and wrong Navigation maps!), there is a road fee named Vigneta = 40 euro/1 year or 7 euro/1 week.
Also I will be glad to assist you in purchasing all tickets/car rentalor advise in order to have a pleasant trip.

Thanks for that George.

I would think that most Forum members who want to travel may come by car. I for one would love to visit your country but would travel by car I hate flying.

If you travel by car you can offset some of the travel costs by ensuring that you travel light one small bag and only one passenger. This ensures that you have space for at least two immigrants in the boot and three inside. I'm sure that there will be no shortage of takers especially when you can offer comfort warmth and in the dry. It certainly beats the transport package of some of our competitors.

Costs can be charged as an amount per mile like a taxi or an inflated price.

If any forum member is thinking along these lines then get in touch.............NOT

The journey London UK - Rosia Montana Romania is 2.185 km long (22h drive). The route is through Belgium - Germany - Austria - Hungary - Romania.
The good news is that there is a lot of speedways, so you will drive fast (in Germany will have also unlimited speed on highway). Also is not through Bulgary, my mistake.
The best approach is to stay one night in Passau or Wels, at middle of travel.
Also when enter in Romania you can stop in Arad for one night sleep, as is very cheap and the food is great (one room is under 20 euro/night, also with 10 euro you will eat and drink as much as you can).

All major cities have Peugeot representatives and service, also you are covered by Peugeot guarantee (if car fail, there is free hotel for all passengers and also if not fixed in one day, will get a travel car to continue the vacation). :)

The image from Uncletone is not applied, as there is extra costs with Fly-by-trailer charter :))))
