New owner, 1.2 allure. Been having a look at the servicing and can't believe some of the servicing routine.Timing and auxiliary belts at 10 years or 110,000 miles! Come from a Fiat which had these at 5 years/70k. What have they done to belts to make this last this long?

Also, took out the Peugeot Optiway service plan (£16.99 per month), but starting to think what is it we are actually paying for? They was I see it:
Year 1: Oil & oil filter change
Year 2: Oil & oil filter, air filter, brake fluid.
Year 3; Oil & filter.
Obviously they say there is lots of 'checks' too.

It doesn't say they replace things like spark plugs or grease hinges etc.
Any thoughts from anyone, have you gone for service plans or had servicing carried out elsewhere?
Thanks

Great for budgeting but it's not particularly value for money; not sure when spark plugs are due on the 1.2VTi but I would simply pay for each service as it comes.

As for cambelts, I came from Peugeot's of old (72k but best done before) and fiats which were the same - however on all my years as a C4 owner I'm not aware of a cambelt snapping on a modern Peugeot/ Citroen product and there are some serious high milers - I'd go sooner than 110k personally anyway.

I do a low mileage so I was advised not to bother with the service plan.

I have my first service on Tuesday and it will cost £120.
