Here comes my pennyworth, If car manufactures state the recommended tyre pressures, then that's what they should be set at.Our 2008 (Oct. 2016)110hp EAT6,has 17" Goodyear four-seasons tyres fitted as standard but Peugeot also fit Michelin 17" all seasons on this modelas well, to be set at 2.2bar (32psi)
If Peugeot state the tyre pressures, then that's what they should be.
If a driver changes the tyre pressure moreor less than the recommended one and they were involved in a accident, the Insurance may not meet the claim as the driver has gone against the correct pressure,
they may allow up to 0.138 bar(2psi).
Before any one thinks that I am talking a lot of codswallop, they should think again, before I retired I saw the remains of many People and Vehicles and although some pressures were only 2-5 psi over/under they had to face the music from the law and/or the Insurance company they are with.
