just awaiting delivery of a usb stick from ebay. Was wondering with the picture function does the touchscreen have a memory to store the photos once loaded from the usb or is it just purely from the usb stick. i.e if i take the usb stick out would the pictures still show ?

On mine you need to leave the stick in. have my music on the stick as well so its no problem.

Yes, that seems correct.

You need the USB stick for the music so you will also need a USB stick for the photos.

How do I do that? Do you get to choose or does it just pick one at random / first on the list? I haven't tried as TBH I dodn;t relaly undertsand the point of pics in the car!
