Anybody in the UK tried this update yet - I've copied to a USB and the car recognises it but haven't press yes to continue yet until I know it will work on a UK 2008.I guess if it wasn't compatible it wouldn't recognise the upgrade?
just done it.Scarey ten minutes watching all the boot screens but all seems to be working ok. No obvious changes. The SMEG checked all the data before applying the upgrade so I guess if it was corrupt it wouldnt upgrade.
All settings were saved - radio stations phone sat nav etc
As on page one of this post, its made up on three zip files which you copy onto a memory stick (links below).
Once you have unzipped and copied onto a memory stick, run the engine and just plug into the usb port and the car recognises it and starts the process. takes about ten minutes but when the screen goes blue and startsupdating the various folders seems like a lifetime but all automated so really easy

INSTRUCTIONS:
Download these three files and copy them into a single folder. After the program you put the link below and decompress only the first one.
In the root folder Lipstick SMEG_UPG must meet all its contents.
Hi Ian after copying the three zip files into a single folder. Click on the first file and it shall up zip it automatically to a folder SMeg_upd. Copy this folder and all its contents.onto a memory stick and plug into the Usb on the radio. The radio should recognise the folder and start the update process
